A natural makeup routine in 10 minutes
Natural makeup isn't the absence of makeup: it's the art of looking rested and luminous without looking made up. Here is my ten-minute routine, the one I teach most often in private lessons.
Minute 1 to 2: prep the skin
On clean skin, apply a suitable moisturiser. Let it absorb while you prepare your brushes. Hydrated skin catches the light better and holds the little product we'll apply.
Minute 3 to 4: even out without masking
A few dots of light foundation or BB cream, blended from the centre of the face outwards. Keep the areas where your skin is lovely as they are. A hint of concealer under the eyes and over redness, and that's it.
Minute 5 to 6: wake up the complexion
A cream blush on the top of the cheekbones brings instant freshness. A touch of the same product on the lips ties it together. Cream melts into the skin and gives that natural healthy-glow effect.
Minute 7 to 8: frame the eyes
Brush the brows upward and set them. One coat of mascara on the upper lashes is enough to open the eyes. If you like, a nude shade blended into the crease adds depth without showing.
Minute 9 to 10: the finishing touch
A tinted balm on the lips, a veil of powder only on the T-zone, and a cloud of setting spray. You're ready, and no one will guess you "put on makeup".
Make it yours
This routine is a base. In a private lesson, we adapt it to your features, your colours and your morning rhythm.
