Evening makeup that lasts all night long
An evening means several hours, heat, sometimes a few happy tears. Makeup has to keep up without flinching. Here's my method for it to last from the first drink to the last dance.
Set the stage
It all starts with hydrated skin, then mattified in the right places. A suitable base creates grip: without it, even the best foundation eventually moves.
Bet on the right textures
For evening, I favour cream shadows that blend then set, and waterproof formulas on lashes and liner. They're what resists heat and emotion.
A smoky eye that won't budge
A smoky eye lasts if it's built on an eye base and set layer by layer. Build intensity gradually rather than laying it all at once: it's cleaner and far more durable.
Set it and pack the essentials
One or two passes of setting spray seal everything. In the clutch: a lipstick for touch-ups and a blotting tissue. Nothing more.
The little extra
For evenings that run long, I offer a late-evening touch-up option: I come back to refresh your makeup. The luxury of staying flawless without a thought.
